What is a 940SE 900 1991

I just bought a 1991 940 SE Turbo sedan and after a few months plan to pass in onto my kid unless I want it for myself. I have a 740 Turbo wagon but the 900 series are a mystery to me. What I'm wondering about is what separates a 940SE from the other 900 models, in general. I was doing some searches but was getting frustrating. If anyone wouldn't mind giving me the highlights of this model I would sure appreciate it.
