Which ignition system? 700 1988

For 88 740 Turbo (B230FT eng)... I can't seem to follow all the clues to figure out which ignition system I have. I want to do some deeper checking and maintenance, since plugs, rotor, cap, and hi-volt wire changes didn't completely correct a very slight, but obnoxious, misfire at steady speed. I suspect worn cam gears but that's just picked out of the air.
