Cruise control question for '86 245 200

I'm having trouble getting my cruise control to work and need some advice.

I've replaced the valve housing on the firewall and the PC board unit under the dash by the steering column and still no workey.

I think the servo is good, because if I by-pass the valvehousing I get full-time throttle until I step on the brake or turn off the key.

Is there something I'm overlooking? Is there a wire to the speedometer housing that picks up mph data? And if so, where is the proper place for it to connect to the back of the housing?

All suggestions welcome.
