reare seat swap 900 1992

Dear Taxivolvo,

Good a.m./p.m. and may this find you well. Estate (wagon) and saloon (sedan) rear seats do not interchange at all, and so far as I can tell, cannot be made to interchange. The designs are completely different.

The saloon seats are fixed position: once they are installed, no part of the seat (neither seat cushions nor back cushions) moves. The saloon rear seats are one piece - the back cushion and the seat cushion go from one side of the car to the other side of the car. The estate cushions are in two sections.

Estate rear seats move: the seat cushion rotates upwards so that the trailing edge of the cushion ends up pointing towards the roof. The back cushion rotates downwards, so that the top edge is pointing towards the instrument console. This rear seat movement opens up the cargo space.

Hope this helps.

Yours faithfully,

spook
