Air Intake Hose 700

I just cleaned the throttle body on my 90' 745 GL and I noticed that there is a nipple for a hose at about the 10 o'clock position as you look at the air intake hose (running from the air filter to the TB) from the driver's side. There was no hose on it when I took it apart -- just one on the opposite side at about the 1 o'clock position.

Is a vacuum hose missing or is this some sort of air intake or outake?

If a hose is missing, where would it go?
