B18 front crank seal replacement 444-544

I am considering replacing the front and rear crank seals with the ipd silicone version.

Anyone who has done this could you relate degree of difficulty? I know the rear is a pain because the flywheel has to come off. Do you need the special alignment tool with the silicone seals or can you successfully eyeball the position for the housings?

Any comments appreciated.
