getting a new cd player installed, what do i need to know. 200 1980

Hi, i have a 1980 242GT and i am soon going to bring my car to get my aftermarket cd player installed. I have been reading a lot of threads about volvos having a stock amplifier in the car, is this something that i should remove before bringing it to get installed? Also, the previous owner left the car sitting at a cement plant for a year or so, and the stock tape player was ripped out by someone so the wires are not connected to anything at the current time. Should i remove the amp, and solve the wiring mystery before i bring it to the shop to get my cd player installed? or will they be able to figure it all out? (note: i have free installation with the cd player)

Thanks in advance

Jon
