my 82 has some sort of a backfire...which blows out the IAC vac hose. 200

every now and then my 1982 244 DL kjet has some sort of a backfire or soemthign at initital start up which blows out the IAC motor's vac hose(the top one). THis happens like once every 3 months or something...so very infrequently. My timing belt was changed about 6 months ago, new cap and rotor. THe flame trap system is clean as well. What i am now thinking is that it's some sort of a lightly carboned exhaust valve that occasionally sticks??

Any help would be appreciated.
