1979 264GL Flathood Conversion, DONE!!! 200 1979

Thanks to all who reponded to my previous post (CLICK HERE) regarding the flat-hood conversion on my 79 264GL. I finally finished my flat-hood conversion with suggestions (Thanks 245L Van for the picture) and parts (Thanks DAVESHAN for the grill and headlight surrounds) from fellow brick-heads. Below is the BEFORE, DURING, & AFTER pictures of my conversion.

I think the final setup has accomplished what I had in mind when I started this conversion. I wanted the car to look unique (add flat-hood) and at the same time keep the stock/elegant look of the 264GL (keep four-headlight setup with blacked out headlight surrounds). Much Thanks to Dave Shannon for providing the parts to make this conversion a real success (and really easy). Take Care All!!!

Sincerely,
