A/C 38 °F on recirc. and almost nothing on normal 900 1996

Good eve. to all.
When the a/c system is run on my new 960 the in the recirc. mode the vent temp. is 38 °F. When recirc. mode switches off, the vent temp. rises significantly, around 30 °. If the system is run too long in the normal (non-recirc.) mode, the system seems to over pressure and cut out completly and doesn't even in recirc. cold for quite some time after (approx. 1 hr.). Is there a cold air intake on the outside of the car that needs to be cleaned or is there something else going on? The car has a new rec./dryer and I assume orifice tube and is seems the charge is OK.

Any thoughts or comments would be greatly appreciated.
