Auxiliary fan 200

After a front end accident, I had to replace the aux cooling fan for my 92 240. I picked one up from groton and it works fine. However it blows air into the condensor (it is located between the condensor and the grill). When the car is idling for any length of time with the ac on, it gets ready to overheat. I think perhaps the fan should be pulling air from the condensor, and blowing it out of the car. Which way should the fan operate? blowing in or out and how can I correct it?
