At the risk of beating a topic to death...

I just bought a '56 444 that was supposedly a demo at the dealership in Phoenix. Chassis 98554. It has Swedish instrumentation and no turn signals (including no flasher unit). At the top of the post behind the door, there was a fixlight-delete-plate, an oval plate that was painted and screwed onto the body. I bought fixlights ($59 from Swedish Treasures): the fixlights screwed right into the holes and there were turn signal wires taped up behind the plate.

Don't know if this was a Euro market car, or exactly what the history was.
