Power-Glide Switch for a 1988 780 700 1988

Well, I did it. Dummy here pulled on the little switch which is supposed to make the seat slide forward after tilting forward to help passengers get to the rear seats. The switch fell out with a "twang", I found three parts on the ground: a ball bearing, a brass strip of metal, and a white piece of plastic. In my hand was the little switch cover with the spring to hold the bearing still inside. Great!
Now, how do I put it back together? Where does the little white plastic thing go? The backing plate for the switch is still in the leaver to fold the seat forward, the wires are too short to be pulled out. Can the two black/white wires be pulled out enough to get access to the backing plate?
Anyone with a diagram or a solution, please help me.
I cannot believe I am the only dummy in the world who has ever done this :(
