K-jet owners - need your advice 200 1989

Hi everyone

Need help from the K-gurus again. I have a 740 89 model with a K-jet. I'm going to remove and check my oil trap for the 2nd TIME around. There's a leak from the oil trap.

Last time I had, well, not great but acceptable access by unbolting the fuel control unit from its mounting bracket and shoving it away. This time around I'm thinking of removing the fuel lines from the fuel control unit that are in the way. Would seem to make my life easier. Question is how and do I need to replace anything when reinstalling the lines eg washer/seals? Would I get petrol all over the engine?

Another thing, the small rubber mount in front of the control unit is cracked. Is it worth replacing?

Finally any other tips for getting good excess to the oil trap?

Thanks in advance
