Thanks to those who offered me advice regarding the problem listed below. I ended up replacing the RPM/crank sensor as advised with no luck. Either way, I'm glad I replaced the part since it had not yet been done in the car's history. I see it as preventitive maintainence.
After being frustrated that the replacement part didn't solve this problem, I started fiddling with the fuse holder suspecting a bad connection. While cranking the engine I accidently knocked out fuse #4 (primary pump) and the brick roared to life. I immediatly put fuse #4 back into place and went for a test drive only to have it stall again after 5kms. Again, I took fuse #4 out and the car started first try ... this time I didn't put it back in. It hasn't stalled since and the fuse is even in place! Any ideas on what the heck is going on? Could the primary pump actually be pumping in the wrong direction (reverse polarity on the pump)?
Problem Recap:
"As of late the car has been stalling mid-drive. Its almost as if the car just stops getting fuel. It has stalled on me at various speeds (20km/h, 50km/h, 80km/h, ...) and it doesn't seem to matter if I am accelerating or deccelarting. Usually when this happens I pull off to the side of the road, wait five minutes and start it up again with no problems. I know for sure that is not intank fuel pump or sending unit as I replaced them both last month."
Thanks for all the help.
Cheers,
Greg
