To replace a 740...S70 or S90?

As much as I am a RWD Volvo guy, I think the S90 is not going to be a good choice for a long term reliable car. NOt that they're bad- they're still miles ahead of many other brands of cars.
Just simply on a basis of what it's going to cost you to maintain and keep this car alive down the road, the S90 is gonna kill the pocketbook and the S70 is more likely to behave itself. Keep in mind that all things being equal, the 740/940 and 240 models are significantly cheaper to maintain than either of these in general.
The S70 seems to be a very well-sorted-out car, and there are a lot of units sold as well, which leads to better product support by dealers and mechanics.

Good luck with whatever you decide. Oh, and compare car prices at these sites: www.eurocarsplus.com, www.theautowerkes.com, and www.bargainnews.com
