91 240 cooling fan wiring problem 200 1991

I recently purchased a 91 240 for my daughter. So far I have not been able to license it since it had a bad brake line and an exhaust leak which we are correcting. As I was driving it to the shop, an odor appeared which was decidedly electrical. WE discovered it was the cooling fan on the front of the radiator. It had burned out. The dealer wanted 476.00 for a new fan so I went online and found the right fan for 150.00 from fcp groton. THe problem is the fan they sent me has a 3 wire plug and the one on the vehicle has a 2 wire plug.
fcp groton directed me to this wonderful site believing that there is a fix available here somewhere..does anyone know how to solve this problem?
thanks,
jedi
