Old oil sender unit ID needed, and Bentley shows the wrong location 200

I'm trying to get all of the gauges I have ready for a single mass installation into the 93 240. I have a 3 bar oil pressure gauge and a sender that I'm curious about. The sender looks like a 1 1/4" galvanized pipe cap with two threaded terminals on one end with the short nipple straight out of the other end . Is this an original sender for the 3 bar gauge? Also, when I looked at the Bentley manual for sender location, the sketch shows the B230 engine as having the original sender unit threaded downward into a protruding part of the engine block (straight out with hole facing 90 degrees up). On older engines B21 and B23, it shows the sender screwed straight into the side of the block. Strangely, my B230's sender is screwed straight into the side of the block. Anyone know why Bentley shows it to be different? Or, did B230s come either way?
