coolant temp sensor 900 1994

About 3 years ago I replaced the coolant temp sensor on my B230FT after enduring wildly erratic temp gauge spikes. Replacing it brought things back to normal. Now, I have noticed the gauge is slow to rise to 12 o'clock, even after driving for 30 minutes on the highway with the a/c running and the ambient temp at 90F. It gets up there, but it takes a while. Maybe some Viagra would help?

Is this likely to be another sensor gone bad or some other issue?

thanks
