245 tailgate hinge wire replacement 200

Thanks to you listers, esp. Erling, Ken, MP, I've got the headrests out, for the seat cover install. Now on to lumbar dial removal?

The next task if possible is tailgate hinge cable replacement. I've got the cables, and a "Haynes Manual" (just about worthless compared to a Bentley). No clue as to how to get at this project, except that I've got to pull down the headliner, which doesn't feel a bit like a door trim panel. Anyone done this that could shed some light?
