Alt wiring/flashing lights 200 1982

So i had the same problem a while ago, and it turned out to be a new Alt was needed, but i believe it's simpler this time. My Parking brake, brake failure, and battery light all flash randomly together as i go over bumps and just go about my daily driving. The same day last week i noticed this, i noticed there was a wire hanging by itself beside the alternator. I trust that this is the culprit, and when it touches metal it shorts or something, and turns the light on. By my question is, where does this wire go? The alternator seems to work fine, maybe charges a little low, but there's never any trouble starting it.

Any ideas?
