I just saw an '89 740GLE, looking at it to supplement my 240. The question is, is it a 16V or not? Here's the VIN: YV1DX8842F2129321. I know the D is wrong, i must've miscopied the VIN, but can you tell from the SN whether it's a 16V or not? I've heard that it can go either way on the '89s. I know, the smart thing to do would've been to look under the hood, but the owner wasn't around and i was in a rush. Any help would be appreciated.
