If you pull the carrier without pulling the cams, you cannot first remove the followers (buckets). They will instead, remove themselves by falling very ungracefully to the floor, in no particular order.

Be sure to make a place to keep them in their original positions or you'll spend much more time than necessary getting the adjustment right.

Also...on reassembly, be very careful about how you position the crank and each cam as you drop them in as the B234 is an interference engine.
