A/C Has Bladder Problem 200 1982

Hello,

My 82 242 still has the original A/C set up and it works fine. There are no leaks and other than a slightly noisy compressor everthing is working. The problem is it has trouble discharging water from the evaporator box. It will fill with water and leak on to the floor panels. If you take the drain hose off, no water comes out. When I probe into the box with a plastic drain opener it starts to drain. I feel no blockages and this problem repeats itself over and over. At times if I just squeeze the drain hose when it is attached, the water just gushes out under the car all at once. The drain hose is fine and has the plastic device inside to keep it from collapsing. It seems like the drain in the box is blocked, but for the life of me I can not fix it. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Mario
