cure for hard starting when hot? 200 1993

Hello list. A couple of weeks ago I posted about my '93 245, 180k miles, with difficult starts when hot. Thanks to the replies and information in the archives I think the problem may be solved.

First I changed the fuel pump relay, but this had no effect. Then the heat went away for a few days, and I noticed that the car definitely started and ran better in cooler weather. Last weekend I changed the crankshaft speed sensor - it wasn't as difficult as I feared - and the car now starts and runs even better. The hot weather has not yet returned, but hopefully the crankshaft speed sensor was the true culprit. By the way, this car does not appear to have the 25A inline spade fuse under the hood.

Anyway, thanks to those who responded.
