272187 brake shim - brake squeal 900

Approx 5000 kms after replacing front discs and pads I have brake squeal.
I have Bradi discs and Roadhouse pads, 1994 940GL with Girling ABS

Acting on recommendations from 700/900 FAQ plus advice from other folks on this forum, I went and ordered the Volvo brake shims. I asked for 272187-6 as per the FAQ, but the part that arrived (via Sweden /Australia) was marked 272187 and upon opening, the small bag contained the 2 mirror image pieces of metal as shown in the picture.

I've got to pull the pads off again and examine things - but before I do this, can someone advise if what I've got looks like the right thing.

Excuse my ignorance, but will the 2 bits supplied do just one caliper or two calipers ? Do I apply the silicon brake anti squeal paste stuff on both sides of the shim when fitting ?
