central locking system relay fried? 700 1985

I have an 85 740 GLE and recently when i locked the doors with the key at the drivers side door I heard a wierd noise in the door towards the front of the door like a bussing or humming .


My model has the relay in the door and the locks aren't working any longer.

I'm about to open her up....the door and was wondering what i shold test for?

with the relay being costly ...100.00 plus...ca it be resoldered ?
