Bulb Out, Baffled and Confused 200 1984

I keep getting a "bulb out" warning on the dashboard of my '84 Volvo GL sedan. The light in question is the one that controls the left side turn signal/brakelight. Even though I am told the bulb is out, the reality is that it works fine and reliably. There is absolutely no failure, except the distraction of that "bult out" warning light.

I have replaced the circuit board but the warning light persists. I have also swapped out bulb sockets and bulbs, to no avail.

Does anybody have any idea why I am getting this warning? I should add that the warning is somewhat intermittant. Sometimes it doesn't show, but after the car is warmed up a bit, there it is. Any ideas or should I just learn to live with it?

Cordially,

Amtrak
