91 240 no start, help

Click here to go to a thread about a similiar problem from a few days ago. It might be helpful if it actually was run out of gas.

The fuelpump relay is located under the dash valence above the passenger's feet. These are prone to failure but can be brought back to life many times by simply resoldering the circuit board. Remove the case have a look with a magnifying glass under strong light. Look for joints that appear to have a faint circle in the joint. If in doubt resolder them.

In a quiet atmosphere try taking a short length of wire and holding it on fuse4 and touching fuse 6. You should be able to hear the pumps run. If there is actually gasoline for the pumps to pump you may actually find that the car will run with that wire "jumper" in place. If it runs with the jumper in place and stalls when you remove it you need to look into the condition of the fuelpump relay mentioned earlier.
