Front strut failure - need advice 200

Hello all,

Hit a small pothole tonight in my 85 240 DL wagon, which resulted in front passenger side tire now rubbing on strut - it appears that the lower strut spring seat has failed (rusted through).

I ran a search on this subject, and I saw some discussion saying that replacement struts do not include this spring seat on them. Am I mistaken here? Are there any struts available that are not simply inserts, but have ths spring seat on them as well? The pictures for the Boge units at ipdusa.com appear to have seats integrated into them.

Overall, I'd like to know if this repair is goign to be extensive - I just bought this car for $600 and while its engine/trans are in good shape the car is rusty - I may junk it if it's going to be too much fixing the spring seats. I wanted to just take the car somewhere and get struts put on but I fear they might not be able to get the right parts to fix it.
