Ive heard there is some way to do it, though ive never seen it done, i typicly just go out and buy new one's, part prices are getting so low now if its old and i think it's shot i just go get a new one, of course this all depends on what issue im dealing with too, though to properly clean it youll need to pull it off the car spray it fully and see if you have movement on the inside shaft.
