Help- Noise/Perfomance problem 200 1986

Sounds like your acceleration problems could be the transmission slipping if it's an auto trans? If it's a manual transmission your clutch could be slipping. The rattleing sound when you accelerate is most likely the heat shield that's on the front header pipe. You can fix this by getting a large hose clamp and put it around the shield. The hose from the exhaust manifold is the preheater hose that goes to the air filter that would only be needed during the winter months to keep from having the throttle body ice up. Not sure what the wire your talking about is?
