940: Transmission Oil Cooler 900

Dear Fellow Brickboarders,

May this find you well. I gather it is possible to install a transmission oil cooler in a 940. I have a few questions:

(a) Is there a specific place, into which the cooler should be installed? If so, where is it? If not, how does one mount it securely?

(b) What is the best routing of the tubes, from the existing termination point at the radiator, to the cooler?

(c) What kind of tubes should be used, to extend the factory-installed tubes?

(d) Where should one get the extension tubes?

(e) Are there any "tricks" - or special tools needed - to do a trouble free installation?

I checked the FAQs, and did not see anything for 940s, under "transmissions".

Thanks for your help. I appreciate it.

Yours faithfully,

spook
