help! car died! 200

Well, with no real forewarning, the Beast earned the nickname "Finnickey Bee-hatch" again.

Driving along, happy as a clam. Red light turns green, try to get going, give it a little gas and she dies on me. Turn off all the power, lights, stereo, etc... hazards go on, turn the key to the off, and then back to position two in preparation to start it, and there is no noise what so ever. The usual little whrrr/ hum of the pumps priming was absent. Tried starting it, and it would turn over, but no sputter or catch.

Check the belts real quick- all tight. No obvious loose wires. No apparent leaks of any kind. Push car out of the way of traffic (yes, she earned her nickname "Heavy Bee-hatch as well") let her sit for a few minutes, and then give her a little warm up try again, and the pump magically primes up. Try and start her up, et voila... Tenderly prod the beast back to my office parkade, and there she sits right now.

I'm thinking maybe, fuel pump relay, fuel line pressure reg, or this nagging suspicion I've had for a while that my very old accumulator has 20+ years worth of crap sitting in it that's causeing a back pressure in the system, making the job the fuel pump has to do difficult at best. Any other ideas? Thanks guys.
