Speaking of relays!!!! 200 1985

My 1985 245 GL is supposed to have a delay, when you close the door, before the interior lights go out. If it is like our 1989, the interior lights should also go on when you unlock the car. It's not working- what does the relay look like and where is it located?
In addition, I think the alarm to notify you that the headlights are left on is also not working ( found out the hard way), and the one which reminds you the key is in the ignition. What and where are they??
Have had the car so long, could not remember if these features existed at one time or not, but recently bought the sales brochure, and they are were listed. (no mention at all in the owners manual)
