Bad Tranny? 700

Hi everyone. I was hoping to get a little info here. I have an '86 740 Turbo with the aw71 tranny. It has 166k on the original everything and has been very well maintained. I am only the 2nd owner. Anway, the transmission feels like it started slipping about a week ago and today it is real bad. It accelerates through 1st no problem but when it gets to 2nd and 3rd, it just loses a lot of power and the turbo is maxing out trying to move the car. I had to climb a couple small hills to work and I barely made it up the hills. The more gas you give it, the more power it loses. I checked the fluid (tranny) and it is full and doesnt look/smell burnt or faulty. Could this be a failing tranny (which doesnt seem likely with only 166k) or maybe bad electrical (such as harness). ONe other thing, I have noticed in the past few weeks as I am on the freeway, all the idiot lights come on for a few seconds and then go off (brake light, od off light, check engine light, etc). Nothing ever fails or goes wrong, they all just come on and go off. Could this be a link to my theory of bad electric? Please let me know if you have any advice and thanks muchly in advance.
