OD not working, soleniod clicks, light goes on/off, but no 4th gear? 700 1991

car is a 91' 740T, w/ a 79k 94' b230ft, and the stock AW71 w/ 127k. tranny was flushed about 20k ago w/ amsoil.

ok so a few days ago i added some tranny fluid to my leaking tranny(pan gasket) and after that i had no OD, so after about 6 miles i pulled over and drained some fluid out. and drove it and all was fine.... well on my way home that night again NO OD.... didn't have the ability to try to drain more so i just made it home via 3rd gear.

so yesterday i replaced the soleniod w/ a known working one. droped the pan and isntalled a new filter and pan gasket. filled back up to the correct level and took the car for a drive ... stil no 4th gear/OD. the button works.. i can hear the relay click when i hit it and the light goes on/off as it should.

w/ the car off but the ignition on i can hear the OD soleniod and relay click. w/ the car running and you hit the button i can hear the OD relay click but i cannot hear/feel the soleniod clicking on the tranny

so anyone have any tips? or ideas on what i should look for next? what inside the tranny could be wrong? should i remove the soleniod and just get a new one? or try spraying brake parts cleaner down INTO the tranny's OD holes to make sure they are cleaned out?

thanks
mike
