Need help with radiator replacement please 700

Hello, thanks for reading.

I am repairing a friend's '86 740GLE after a front end-collision, which involves replacing the radiator among other things. My questions are these:

Where is the bleed valve for the coolant so I can fill the system up again?

Is there any trick to filling the coolant system, or should I just open the bleed valve, pour coolant into the resivoir until the bleeder valve overflows, tighten, then fill the rest of the resivoir?

The car is an automatic. I see there is a kind of oil cooler built into the radiator. Is that ATF? Does the system need to be bled after taking out a broken radiator and putting in a new one and reconnecting the oil/ATF lines? Or will the air just end up in the resivoir?

Any other tips would be greatly apprecicated. Thanks very much!

-Rob
