overdrive doesn't work 900 1991

1991 940 Turbo Wagon 171K
The overdrive was working intermittently, then stopped, no shift into 4th gear. I replaced the relay and the solenoid. I can hear the solenoid clicking on and off under the car when I press the button on the shifter, (engine off, key in II position)but still no shift into 4th. Trans fluid level checks out fine. Appreciate any comments. Thanks in advance. BTW, I took the advice here and changed out the breather box and PCV connectors. Substantial oil leaks are now gone (Volvl dealer wanted to reseal the whole engine; shows what they know). Thanks everybody!
