Sensor safe RTV?

No, Steve, please don't recommend RTV for water pumps at all!

It's old science, and things have gotten way better. I exclusively use Hylomar HPF. It's available from Permatex and others.

You see, the stuff never hardens! I just re-replaced a water pump on a B230, and I could have re-used the paper gasket. It also fills small gaps better than RTV.

Nothing turns me off a used car purchase more than gobs or RTV coming out of all sorts of seams.
