Cheapest Volvo parts I've seen 200 1981

"I just wish it was a little easier on gas. I can only manage 23 mpg, but I have a rather heavy foot."

So don't drive with a heavy foot! Simple solutions for simple problems my good man!

Heh heh heh...

In all seriousness, If you have the original auto tranny in that sucker, that's pretty good for the old BW-55s. If you have a standard tranny though, that's not as good. I get about 30 mpg on the highway in my 1980 245DL with an M-46 (the 4 speed with OD). Then again, I don't ever go over 55 mph (unless I absolutely have to for some reason), and I don't drive with a lead foot... at all...

Also, replace your ignition components. That can really help.

Good luck with whatever you decide to do!
