Please Help!! Dear God!! 240 Bucks!! I Don't Know Why!! 200

On the drive home tonight my 82 silver 240 turbo started bucking while i was accelerating in 2nd and 3rd gear, and a little bit in 4th. the tack does not budge when this happens so it is not the engine. the shop just did some fixing of the vaccum lines the other day, but if that were the problem i would figure the car would drop in rpms right? please tell me this not the transmission (M46 - 4 speed stick shift). could be the clutch but i have no problems off the line (excpt for a little bumpiness) or changing gears, only when i accelerate. the bucking is pretty severe and intensifies the more i accelerate. please help i have had a very bad day today and finding out that i can not leave for vaction tomorrow in my favorite car of all time is not making it better. please let me know what you think or if you have any questions about the problem you would need answered to better respond. i am quite desperate and would appreciate any input. i will be checking this post constantly if you care to respond. please help.
thank you very much,
steven
