voltage regulator 200 1990

Where can I score a new (standard) v. regulator for my 1990 240?

How much do they run, on average?

Will I need the part number off the alternator to pick this part up, or all Bosch regulators for my year car the same?

After hooking up gauges I noticed that my ride, after warming up w/ the a/c on, is running at 12.5 volts. I am thinking that the brushes are worn.

My original plan was to get an adjustable v. regulator... but, if I can save some cash on this particular project and still bump up the volts that would be nice.

Any advice on this would be great!!!

By the way, my engine compartment is spotless, and all connections, from the battery to the alternator, are in tip-top shape... I believe the regulator is original... again, will replacing it bump up my voltage?

Thanks, Jon
