SU rebuilder?? 120-130

Hi Lee;
There are many sets of my rebuilt carbs running around Washington State on both Volvos and British cars.
There are lots of little things that can go wrong, and repairing just that is certainly possible, and far cheaper, than a complete overhaul. I would be pleased to help you with repair advice- just e-mail me from my site at www.sucarburetors.com. (thanks for mentioning me Phil!)
As for price, a basic mechanical overhaul, including new shafts and bushings is $270.00 US funds all day long. With cad plating, polished chambers, and fuel needles of your choice, $350.00.
Keep in mind too, that many mechanics will just point at the carbs and say they are the problem, and wash their hands of the final repair, when in fact lots of things can cause poor running.
The overheating on long drives is probably a partially blocked rad core, and not carb related.
Rhys
