My two cents: it's most likely not vapor lock. Vapor lock is caused by the fuel turning from a liquid into a gas. Various laws of chemistry can be summed up like this: it's more difficult for something under pressure to vaporize. Thus.. Volvo has a few components on your car designed to keep the fuel system under pressure (two fuel pumps and a check valve that helps retain pressure when the car is turned off)... thus.. vapor lock is really unlikely.
