steering box reconditioning 140-160

over the past couple of weeks ive noticed that my steering has been getting looser and looser. its starting to get dangerous as i find my car wants to follow divets in the road rather than where the steering wheel is pointed.

i am about to order some new bushings for the steering column and take up some of the freeplay by adjusting the screw at the top of the steering box but i think this would just be a temp solution. anyone know where i can get a kit to clean up the steering box and if not what parts should i be looking for (gaskets, bearings, etc). any other suggestions for tightening up the steering?

cheers,
evan

p.s. anyone know how i can easily take off the rear view mirror? i tried to pop it off with a screwdriver but i didnt have much luck and i didnt want to break anything...
