Indicators suddenly not working, loud buzzing 92 240

Janet -

Since my newest is a 1988, your Volvo may have some differences. End of disclaimer.

The turn signals and emergency flasher systems use the same flasher relay. Whenever the turn signals act up, turn the flashers on as a test. Of course, spin all the fuses, too.

The flasher relay should be mounted with a clip tightly onto the left side center control panel support strut. (If it gets off that strut, it's hard to hear it clicking.)

I just finished replacing that relay in said 1988. It took 30 minutes and the boneyard relay (from a 1984 240) seems to work OK.

HOpe that's all you need for a fix.

Good Luck,

Bob
