volvo tailights/parking lights are weird!

Either someone jury-rigged it in the past, or you switched sockets in troubleshooting.
White goes on the right. And they need to be clean, and at that, sometimes they will not work unless the socket is turned BACK a hair from the locked in position.
BTW you can clean the flex circuits with a pencil eraser- nothing more aggressive.
