What is this threaded hole for on the block??? 700

I am almost done with my project of transplanting an 1989 B230ft (k block) into my 1979 262c.. however there is one threaded hole on the pasanger side of the block that has us confused.. should we plug it or not worry about it... does it go into water or oil jackets.. below is a picture of it.. help if you can. thanks!!
