Nivomat shock question 900

Hi, I have a '96 960 wagon and I was under it yesterday. I looked at the rear shocks and they looked like regular everyday shocks. I was under the impression this car came with Nivomat rear suspension. It would be great if they were normal shocks for price at replacement purposes. Does anyone know if this model came without the self-leveling feature? Thanks, Paul
